Advantages: smell yummy

Disadvantages: nothing

I was really inspired by Jill's request for us to write about our favourite things because I have so many. However there isn't a section for me to write about my most favourite thing-Scott my boyfriend and I've already written about my cat,so I looked around me and thought hard. So I decided to write about the perfume I use everyday and have done for several years now.

Chanson D Air was the first bottle of perfume I ever bought for myself, and I bought it one summer when I was on holiday in Lanzarote. I only bought a tiny bottle, enough to discover I adored the scent and wanted to smell that way all the time.
I bought a second much larger bottle the next time I went abroad,to Majorca and it's lasted me ages.

I don't suppose that really explains to everyone why Chanson D Air is my favourite perfume. I love the way it makes me feel to wear the scent, delicate, feminine and fresh. The fragrance is definetly girly and floral with a tangy, citrus edge to it. Its quite an innocent fragrance, something you'd imagine a beautiful, young woman to wear rather than someone old- and obviously I aspire to be beautiful and I'm young! To sum it up think spring mornings and fresh green leaves, sunshine and elvish laughter. As I was younger when I bought the perfume,it felt like a real luxury to wear something that smelt so special and made me feel so good, and the feeling lives on even though wearing perfume isn't such a luxury now.

As the perfume has quite a delicate scent you can put quite a bit on and it isn't over powering. The fragrance is long lasting and occasionaly during the day I'll catch a waft of the scent as I move.

Everytime I wear the perfume it reminds me of holiday evenings and of meeting my boyfriend as I wore it on the first day we met,and he said I smelt gorgeous.Even holding the bottle makes me smile as I remember preparing for special occasions and splashing it on. The bottle itself is a soft
curving shape made from frosted glass with a lid shaped like a flower about to unfurl, capturing the spirit of the perfume and was originally in a simple blue and white box.

Despite the fact I've only ever bought Chanson D Air abroad it is easily available in the UK and is of a reasonable price-around £11 for a bottle for Boots and Superdrug. You can also get a body spray of the perfume although I have never tried it.It is made by Coty, which is a well known brand and I have never had any allergy problems from it.There is also a Chanson D Eau range which I don't like the smell of as much, though others might.

*Jill Murphy asked me to write about one of my favourite things to help her celebrate her fourth anniversary of cancer-free living and to remind ourselves of all the nice things in the world. It takes more muscles to make a frown than a smile you know. If you'd like to join in, whether you've only just joined dooyoo, or you've been here ages, you're more than welcome. Just write about one of YOUR favourite things, make your title "A Favourite Thing: [ your choice]" and include this paragraph at the foot of your opinion. And post before Friday, 9th August."*
