Advantages: Looks natural, Good coverage
Disadvantages: Difficult to get hold of
I’ve never written a make-up review before, but I’ll try to be as helpful as I can. I have found the most fantastic make-up product in the world! Introducing Prescriptives Traceless Skin responsive Tint! I would describe it as a bit of a cross between a foundation and a tinted moisturiser. It covers blemishes as well as a foundation would, but it is incredibly light and has the consistency and texture of a moisturiser. The box claims that it contains light reflective particles to give you a flawless complexion. I decided to wear it when I went out to the pub (not being a regular wearer of make-up) to see if anyone noticed. I was told that I looked really well and healthy (not quite sure what that says about how I look normally). Traceless does seem to give me a bit of a glow, but I don’t look like I’ve trowelled it on, this is usually my one big problem with foundation – I like it to look natural. Also being naturally pale skinned, I find it very difficult to get a shade that suits me. They are generally either too pale and therefore highlight my unhealthy pallor or are too dark and make me look like I’ve been tangoed. Traceless come in 5 different shades (Levels 1 – 5 bizarrely including 3.5) I can’t really judge whether they have a shade that I suitable for everyone but they do seem to cover the possible requirements quite well. I first read about it in a magazine (who gave it a really good review). They described it pretty much as I have above. I decided to give it a try and this is where I encountered my only problem – actually getting hold of some. Many of the major high street stores do not stock Prescriptives make-up and so I found it hard to find. I then tried the internet but there was not a single UK website that I could get it from and none of the American sites would ship to the UK. I eventually found it in Rackhams but getting to my nearest Rackhams invol
ved an hours travel by bus and train. I have to say that it was worth it though and that tube that I have should last me quite a while (hopefully by the time that it is finished someone will be selling it online. At £22 a tube it is also quite expensive. I usually buy cheap make-up but I've now been converted and truly believe that you get what you pay for. This product is definitely worth it. In short this product is a godsend but it would be made even better by easier access to it. I’m not sure who else stocks it but if you come across it is definitely worth buying.

- 31/10/02 I'm not a big make-up person really either, and I'm blessed with half spanish half english skin, so it's a pale rosey english complexion, but with an olive undertone - make-up is a bloody minefield for me.
However....when I got married, I bought some Clinique foundation, it sounds very similiar to this product, like a tinted moisturiser, but you can 'layer' it for better coverage where you need it - and it has an SPF of 15 too!
Great Op |
