Advantages: Suitable for the most senstive of skins, Made my skin feel better than in ages, excellent to take on holiday

Disadvantages: Quite Expensive, Unglamorous packaging, Not available widely in uk

Ok, you have your cases and suncream packed, what else should every woman have to take on holiday?? Answer: A tinted moisturiser! After even a day in the sun your regular foundation will be useless, however, if you are anything like me you will like having an even skin tone when you go out at night and so tinted moisturizers are excellent for this. However, also if you are anything like this some make-up ranges and products can make your skin irrupt with spots. I set out to find the perfect tinted moisturiser which would not cover my skin in spots on holiday and I did, and relatively easily.

~~~The Roc Range~~~
I don’t know if you have heard of the skin care range called Roc, it is a French based company, part of Johnson and Johnson and it is stocked in most big Boots stores now. What attracted me to Roc was that they offer a hypo-allergenic range and being French they actually have a much stricter policy on what they put in their products. The tinted moisturiser that I purchased was part of the Hydra+ range that guarantees 24 hour moisturising with a range of moisturising products to suit everyone’s needs. All products have been designed to give fresher, more supple, more comfortable skin and a radiant complexion 24 hours a day…..hurrah!!
~~The Roc Theory~~~
Roc believes that whatever your age and skin type dehydration problems can develop, whereby the skin becomes rough and uncomfortable, tiny grooves appear and the complexion loses its radiance. The skin plays a vital dual role not only in storing its own moisture, but that of the entire body as well. So, the moisture levels of the skin indicate its condition and are also a reflection of general health.
~~~The Roc Solutions~~~

The product that I am going to tell you about here is the Hydra + Teint (tinted moisturiser), however you can also get the Hydra+ masque which is an intensive moisturising boost for dehydrated skin.

*Roc H
ydra + Teinte

The Roc Hydra + Teinte will cost you about £13 and comes in a box with far too much writing on! Inside you will find a long, thin and squarish squeezy 40 ml tube. Ok, it isn’t glamorous and won’t do much to your make-up bag’s appearance, but you have the knowledge that it is well made and will do it’s job.

Hydra+ Teinte ensures 24 moisturising of the skin thanks to the AHA derivative which reactivates the natural moisturising mechanisms by stimulating cell renewal deep inside the epidermis. The new cells that are created restore the natural “reservoir” of the skin, they retain water and release it to the outer layers of the skin. Combined with the coloured pigments of the moisturiser Hydra+ Teinte ensures a natural looking and moisturized complexion. Hydra + teinte comes in 3 shades, 1 light, 2 golden and 3 tanned. I took the golden shade on holiday with me.

~~~How do you use Hydra + Teinte?~~~
Hydra + teinte was really easy to apply as you don’t need to put any kind of base on to your skin, no moisturiser or anything as it is all built in. The cream itself is quite thin in texture, yet simultaneously it feels quite moist and soft. I found that I needed to shake it up every day as if I applied it without doing this it was too watery. The cream itself doesn’t really smell of anything which is quite good. Upon application the cream spreads very easily onto the skin
The cream itself contains UVA/ UVB and free radical action which all helps to protect the skin. This all added to its suitability for use on holiday, as well as for more general use.
~~~Does it really work~~~

Clinical tests have showed that Hydra + teinte really does work. In 24 hours the effects are very noticeable. Immediately after application the skin’s moisture levels are increased up to 45% and still 24 hours later they are still 10% higher than those who have not used
the cream.

In reality I was also very impressed with the performance of this tinted moisturiser. My skin always felt really soft and unclogged up. I was able to use it on holiday in both the daytime and nighttime and I did not experience any problems with spots or breakouts. It felt moist, but ungreasy, light but I still felt covered up. It provided my skin with a really even and glowing look as well, which looked healthy and tanned on holiday.

I was that impressed with the performance of this tinted moisturiser that I am now looking to the future and thinking about trying the foundation in it, as well as maybe the other skin care products like the moisturizers. If you haven’t seen this range before then I would strongly advise it, even if you just want a decent tinted moisturiser. It may be pricier than other similar products, but you don’t need to apply a lot and although I have only had mine for one month it seems to be lasting a long time. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for me.
