Advantages: has a high sun protection factor

Disadvantages: can be quite creamy

This is the only eye cream that I have ever come across which actually has a high factor of sun protection of 15. I came across this product by chance from the website called www.ivillage.com. I have dark shadows beneath my eyes and have always known that the sun was the culprit. Although it is a bit expensive, I decided to buy it anyway. You can’t put a price to beauty! The thing with buying stuffs from Shiseido is that you should always ask for free samples which is a great way to test their products. I managed to get a 7ml bottle of eye and lip make-up remover from ‘The Skincare’ range and a 7ml tube of gentle cleansing foam.

The white eye cream seems very heavy, so I usually warm it between my ring fingers before applying it around the eye area, and I’ll pat the eyelids with any residues towards the end. It does feel quite oily on the eye area, but so do other eye creams such as those by Molton Brown, Liz Earle (Liz Earle’s eye repair has an SPF of 10) and Elemis, but this cream has the added advantage of protecting the delicate eye area against UVA and UVB rays. It is water and perspiration-resistant.

I have been using this every morning since I bought it and my eyes had never been sensitized by this product and it doesn’t blur up my contact lenses like ‘Eye rescue’ from Molton Brown does. Because you only need apply a little of it, this 15 ml tube will last for a long time.

At last, an eye-cream with SPF15. I too have been looking for one of these. Thanks Pinky!
