Advantages: pleasant smell, leaves skin feeling great
Disadvantages: a bit expensive
I have used several St Ives products but this review is about their Energising Cleansing Wipes. The wipes are packaged in 32s in resealable plastic packets. The seal, rather than being just a sticky label as most cleansing wipe packs have is a plastic lid, keeping the wipes much fresher and preventing them from drying out. They contain extract of Sunflower, Chamomile and Primrose, and the packet says that more than 50% of the ingredients are naturally derived (but then there's lots of things that are naturally derived that aren't great for your skin!). The wipes are suitable for all skin types and remove makeup. They are designed to cleanse, tone and leave skin moisturiser removing the need to carry three products around with you at all times. They have a fresh but uninstrusive soft floral fragrance. I found them to be very effective as they removed my foundation with ease and all of my heavy eye makeup, including mascara, which I have found most products do not do. The packet is very easy to carry round and they are very quick to use. They would be very convinient when travelling or after work before going out for an evening. I paid £2.99 for a pack of wipes on special offer in Superdrug, they are usually slightly dearer at around £3.99. Though not exactly environmentaly friendly after use my skin was left feeling clean and fresh. I'd recommend these if you want a quick way to keep your skin in good condition even if you haven't got a lot of time to spend on it. they would be great for teenagers who can't be bothered to keep to a full skin care routine but want to look good.
