Advantages: Fast results

Disadvantages: Taste may put you off at first

My latest beauty addition is the Rapid White Tooth whitening System, which I recently purchased from Boots. I actually bought the starter kit, to get me started (what else would I use it for!). It was actually my Husband's idea, not sure if that was a comment on the yellowing on my teeth caused through copious quantities of Black Coffee and Red Wine, in no particular order. Anyway, we both picked up a kit, which were priced at £7.95 each. When I got to the checkout, the very nice Boots Lady stated if we spent over £20 we got a fiver off, so I dually picked up a normal size tube of the Whitening Toothpaste in the same range, also priced at £7.95. Soon I will have the whitest teeth in Irvine. The toothpaste is useful to maintain your new pearly whites once you have gone through the initial whitening system.

These products also seem to go under the brand name Natural White, just to confuse us I guess.

The starter kit contains enough product for 15 applications, so that is enough for around one week, assuming you are using the product twice a day.

Starter Kit Contents
--------------------
6g of Rapid White Tooth Whitening System Accelorator
15g tube of Rapid White Whitening gel
19g tube of Rapid White Whitening Toothpaste.
A 'colour chart' to allow you to track the changes in your tooth colour.
The Patented Duplex tray, which is filled with gel and placed over your teeth.

The Process
------------

Prior to starting the Whitening Process you should clean your teeth as normal.

Step one involves the Accelerator. This is contained in a little tube with a sponge applicator. All that is required is that you rub the accelerator all over your teeth, and then keep your mouth open so that your gums do not touch your teeth, thus removing the product. This is actually quite difficult to maintain, especially while you are trying to prepare for Step 2, and it is not too long before t
he discerning user will deal with the first part of the next stage before applying the Accelerator!

Step Two involves squeezing the whitening gel into the Duplex tray. You need to apply a little amount of gel to the upper and lower sides of the Duplex Tray. Once this is done, you pop the whole thing into your mouth and leave it for five to ten minutes. It does cause a build up of saliva into your mouth, and you will get to sample the taste of the gel! Overall I am sure you will be relieved to remove the item, although I had sat down at my computer last night, for a few last minute rates, when at the end of my ten minutes, an ex colleague began Instant Messaging me via AOL, thus delaying me for a few more minutes. Oh well, I suppose that is better than trying to answer the phone with all this reaction going on in your mouth.

At the end of three minutes you simply remove the tray from your mouth, and be ready with your toothbrush and some water, as the gel is not particularly nice and it will be all through your mouth. My husband does not like this stage at all, it actually made him gag when he first used the product. I tend to be made of sterner stuff, and more prone to enjoying odd tasting items anyway, but this isn't a stage I particularly like either.

Step Three involves cleaning your teeth as normal with the toothpaste provided. After stage two, this is a pleasant experience, and leaves your mouth feeling fresh and bright.

The Results
-----------
Well, after just four days, we have both noticed a substantial improvement in the colour of our teeth, being several shades lighter. The product is attractive as it is non abrasive and safe to use, and a lot cheaper than the whitening treatments that the dentists can do, which costs £hundreds. This is certainly a product that has lived up to my expectations, and I shall be completing the course and continuing with the regular toothpaste, in the hope I can maintain
my new found smile!

I may give it a try. Red wine and tea are not conducive to white teeth! I use an electric toothbrush but it's no solution to bad staining.

I'm very impressed that this actually works. I've tried so many different types of whitening toothpastes and have never seen any change. I shall definitely be checking this one out. Thanks :o)

Good op, I have a £10 gift voucher in my purse and didn't know what to spend it on, I do now.
