Premium Review Qigong: COMPLETES MIND, BODY AND SOUL. (1947 words)
by - written on 02/02/01 (Very useful, 122 readings)
Rating:

Ever been so stressed out it just hurts to think? Your heads pounding, your pulse is racing and all you want to do is get off this roundabout of a world and say " Hey, you are spinning too fast!" Well Qigong might be the Alternative Therapy just for you. I started practicing Qigong nearly a year ago at a local women's group I attend. We all agreed that we needed something to chill us out and after phoning the local college, wwe got in touch with a Qigong teacher. There are a few different types of Qigong, but the one we practice is Therapeutic Qigong. Therapeutic Qigong has been formulated to enable for people to learn the therapeutic ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not all Black Magic is Mumbo Jumbo.... (1231 words)

So is it more mumbo jumbo that exists in today?s world or is this something that could help you? Do you have an open mind? No, then maybe you can read the facts??????.. To start with I guess I should clear the air a little. QiGong is known throughout the world in different spellings and this can sometimes cause misunderstandings of what it is. I know QiGong as Chi Gung, although it is also known as Chi Kung and similar such spellings, they all mean the same though. Premium Review Qigong: A Whole New World (528 words)
by - written on 22/05/01 (Very useful, 58 readings)
Rating:

I've been doing Qi Gong for about a year and a half now. With the possible exception of giving up smoking, it's the single best thing I've ever done for myself. The name means many different things. Still forms, moving forms, simple ones and the very complex. What they all have in common is Qi, energy, and what they all do is improve its flow through, into, and out of your body. One suggestion to anyone who practises, or is thinking about starting Qi Gong,(or Chi Kung, spell it how you like) is to begin by opening your microcosmic orbit. This is your internal energy channel, which runs up your spine and down your front. There are many ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review QuiQong/Chi Gung (132 words)
by - written on 16/07/00 (Useful, 305 readings)
Rating:

Chi Gung is an eastern form of exercise rather like t'ai chi. It is a slow moving movement which is repeated a number of times. As it is a slow exercise, like t'ai chi, it relaxes and induces a calm mental state, not unlike meditation. The rhythmic exercises have a tendency to calm the mind without effort. It can also be quite exhausting. At the superficial level, you are using your muscles ina controlled, very slow movement, which actually takes a great deal of effort! On a more deep level, you can learn to do energy work, moving and attuning your body's Chi, or energy. This is itself can be energising or exhausting, depending on ...  Read the complete review
