Advantages: Great Smell, Refreshing

Disadvantages: Pricier than some

If like me, you appreciate a nice hot shower in the morning as the only way you can get awake, this stuff will enhance the whole experience. There is a whole range of Radox Shower Gels, but this one is my stand-out favourite.

Some shower gels (and I'm talking the male-oriented stuff here) tend to be scented in a sort of after-shavy way; nice if you're off out on a night, but to me it's always been a bit much in the morning. The trend recently however, has been towards the fruity, herbal scented stuff. For me, there are a few excellent products out there that fit into this category. The extremely minty xxxxxxx will awaken a corpse if you use enough of it and during summer, there's not much that can hold a candle to it. Coming second to the Radox stuff is, remarkably enough, Tesco's own brand of shower gels "Wake-up". Available in Lime, Grapefruit, Citrus and a few other scents, these are VERY good. They smell exactly like their fruit counterparts, and very strongly - but in a good way. My personal favourite, the Lime one, WILL wake you up. The smell lasts and will hang around in the bathroom for a while, too! All in all, very good.

The Kickstart brand from Radox though, is a little bit better. Although the Tesco one beats in terms of value for money, the Kickstart brand is a little bit more effective. The scent is lime-y, but with a few other scents in there too; I can't identify them (eucalyptus is one of them, I think) and it'll wake you up a treat. It comes in a handy hang from the shower / tap / anything else (ahem) non-drip design and it's pretty generous in size too. A small blob will create enough suds to lather you up real good and really does leave you in a much better state than when you stumbled into the bathroom. I also noticed that it cleared my stuffed up nose when I had a bit a cold recently, so it may have magical healing properties too. Who knows.
