Advantages: It works!, It works quickly, Great customer care

Disadvantages: The price

Sage Advice skin care really is a unique range. Entirely based on the internet, Barbara Strickland designed the range to suit all types of problem skin - from acne to rosacea, sensitive to wrinkled. A qualified Para-Medical Esthetician, Barbara noticed that many products, even ones claiming to be non-comodogenic or skin clearing, contained well know irritants or acne causing ingredients. So she developed the Sage experience!

The products are seriously different (and feel different right from the start) and you DO see results in just a few days. They sell small samples of everything you need in 'Try Me' packs, and when you order one of these you're invited to fill in an incredibly detailed questionnaire (takes about half an hour!) about your skin type and lifestyle in general. The Sage team then analyse this and blend your products to suit your specific skin type. This makes Sage one of the few skincare ranges out there (in my experience) who can clear acne on sensitive skin without drying it out. Having placed your order, the customer care level is fantastic. The staff - including Barbara herself - treat you like a personal friend, communicating through e-mail and a special Delphi based forum. The forum turns the site into a community of people who can talk to each other about the products (and life in general), it's the opportunity to get advice from people who aren't trying to sell you anything and have been through the same sort of experiences.

Even if you don't order, it's worth looking at the site (www.zerozits.com) just to see the database of ingredients to avoid in cleansers, make-up and shampoos. I tried eliminating these 'baddies' and saw some improvement in my skin even before the Sage products had arrived. Although trying to find a shampoo in the UK that doesn't contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is like trying to find where my toddler has hidden the last piece of the jigsaw!!

Sage
produces face cleansing products, make-up, body cleansers and moisturisers. They are an American company but ship to the UK in very carefully wrapped parcels. The instructions for using the products can be a bit complicated in places, but the team are always on hand to clarify things. The biggest drawback is the price - most products cost about $20, the try-me packs are from $30 to $60 - but if, like me, you are the sort of person who is constantly splashing out on the latest new product, only to throw them out (or resign them to the back of the cabinet) half full when they prove absolutley useless, then Sage will probably work out quite reasonable in the long run. Simply because the products do work (and you can send them back for a full refund if they don't). I've tried the 'try me' pack for sensitive skin and acne rosacea, my skin cleared considerably in the first week and is still getting brighter and less spotty as I move into my third week of using Sage.

If you still have any doubts just read some of the testimonials on the site, or log into the forum and ask some of their customers what their experiences have been - It's Sage advice!!

I have never heard of them before. It sounds like a great site.
