Advantages: Cheap, effective.

Disadvantages: None.

There are so many people who spend a fortune on skincare products. I think that the more chemicals you put on your face the more likely you are to cause damage to your skin over a period of time. I tried Oil of Ulay once and it caused a burning effect on my skin, the same happened with Baby Lotion.

I find that water is enough to cleanse my face and I rarely get spots. The best moisturiser thet I have found is plain old simple E45. You only need to use a tiny bit and at about £2.85 a tube it's a lot cheaper than buying highly perfumed beauty products that cost a fortune.

Ok, everyone gets the occasional spot. The best way to get rid of a spot is to use a tiny bit of toothpaste. Yes, this does sound a bit odd and how on earth did I find this out. I don't know I have strange friends who gave me this tip years ago. The toothpaste has a drying effect and dries your spot up overnight. Just make sure you wash it off before you go out or you may get some strange looks. I use Colgate, but I suppose any brand will do?! I havent heard of anyone allergic to toothpaste either!
