Advantages: Helps you wake up in the mornings

Disadvantages: Mustn't brush too hard!

I don't have much time for beautifying myself and worrying about skincare - but I do have one piece of advice - buy and use a body brush - they are fab.

I got mine from The Body Shop and it cost about £10. The bristles are very hard and be sure to go through it removing any chunky bits that may be stuck to the bristles (this seems to be either glue or almost sap from the bristles) - otherwise you will scratch yourself to ribbons.

Next - brush your skin. Start at your shoulder and brush towards your hand, the work your way around to the other arm, then brush your back going towards the floor.

Then start at your feet and in long, gentle strokes brush towards your knees or hips. I do my legs in two parts - calves then thighs and that seems to be fine.

You need to rinse the brush out at least every 3 uses. After brushing, go and have a nice shower and wash all that dead skin away.
Moisturise afterwards (although, I find I don't always need to).

You do have to be quite gentle with your brush strokes and you shouldn't really go over any one area twice. Your skin shouldn't look red or sore - at most it should look slightly flushed. Above all - it shouldn't hurt!

All of this effort - and what for? Well, for starters, brushing your skin stimulates your bloodflow so your skin becomes healthier and if you suffer with poor ciruclation it can help that too. It makes the skin look nicer too. Also, all this brushing stimulates your lymphatic system, the bit where you body throws all its junk. This means that it helps to detox your body and gets rid of nasty oils etc. Furthermore, it's actually pretty invigorating!

I don't have a beauty routine really, but I do invest the time in brushing my skin. The whole process takes a matter of minutes and is definately worth while.

Hmmm, how bizarre, LOL! An interesting idea, but I would like to know more.

A nice opinion, but a little more detail would be needed to make this "very useful".
