Express Review on Skincare in general
by pushdy - written on 07/01/09
Rating:

I have always had very sensitive skin, and found that living in London made it so sensitive that l started suffering from eczema. Finding skin care products to use was suddenly a complete nightmare. So many products either irritated my skin further or stung when applied. I became very nervous of trying new products. Then l read Janey Lee Graces book, Imperfectly Natural Woman and there was a lot of information in there on how to get rid of chemicals in your home, your food and advice on skincare. I tried The Sensitive Skincare Company's range of products and bought a de-chlorination shower filter from them. It removes the drying chemical chlorine from the water. My skin improved pretty much immediately and has now recovered completely....their skin care really does work....if you have sensitive skin l suggest you go to their site...www.sensitiveskincareco.com

Crowned Review For Your Skinformation (2714 words)

I would take a bet that 99% of people rarely follow a strict 3 step skin care routine daily as we are all told we ‘should’. Too tired, can’t be bothered, too drunk…just want to sleep, late for work, kids screaming – whatever, we can’t always manage it twice daily every day. However, skin care is not a case of ‘all or nothing’ if you forget it, so ...  Read the complete review

I have suffered with eczema for most of my life, it had been mild until I became pregnant with my first child when my skin went wild. I found my self buying most of the over the counter creams as well as prescribed creams but I was always left with the awful itch scratch cycle. There are plenty of creams promising to relieve the ...  Read the complete review

Christy Cosmetics : Jasmine & Evening Primrose Face Mask I like face masks because they give me an excuse to relax for 15 minutes or so at weekends, the rest of which are spent running around madly trying to get everything done. Warning!! This is quite a long review of my skincare regime! Also this opinion should probably be in the Decleor section but as there isn't a "Decleor in general" bit (and I'm going to rant about most of it) then I think its up to dooyoo to move it as they see fit. Ok then. I'm going to talk at you about my skincare ...  Read the complete review

Skincare in general: My original source sunburn misery recipe (1030 words)

Whilst i was on holiday in Spain, the temperature got extremely hot. It had reached a mere 37 degrees. I decided to go out sunbathing on the 3rd day (this i felt was very insane as i am very fair skinned and burn very very easily, even in England at 25 degrees). I thought, it will be ok though if i put a sun factor of 45 on. So thats what i did ...  Read the complete review

This is not advice for those suffering from severe or cystic acne, who should certainly take their problem to a dermatologist. However, if you are troubled by occasional breakouts, I can give you no better advice than this: try totally eliminating any fragranced skincare for a few weeks. There are many big companies who will try to sell you expensive stuff that might just give you the apearance of eternal youth. You can spend as much money as you like, and then some. Mostly what these products are doing is repairing damage. The better, and cheaper approach, is not to harm you skin in the first place. Water: In excess, is ...  Read the complete review

I don't have much time for beautifying myself and worrying about skincare - but I do have one piece of advice - buy and use a body brush - they are fab. SENSITIVE SKIN. Arrrrrgh! The scourge of millions of people, both men and women across the country. In some cases it shows up as a mild irritation to one particular product. In more severe cases, it results in a complete intolerance of makeup, toiletry products - even jewellery. I never used to believe in skin allergies as such until ...  Read the complete review

Skin! Don't you just love it? I suppose we've got to really. Without it we'd end up as just a load of slop on the floor. It's big, you know.
