I find this quite an awkward subject to write about, though I have suffered with arachnophobia previously to quite an extent. I wouldn't say that I was completely over the phobia though. This actually seems to be one of the most common of phobias, along with chlostrophobia and agoraphobia. It seems that most people are not afraid of smaller spiders but are scared of bigger ones, as was in my case. From my learning and interest in hypnosis, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and the like, I discovered that this is because in our minds we define the memories of these spiders as bigger, clearer more defined images.
