Ever thought of changing your nose? My sister did 7 months ago. My sister was thinking about getting a nose job since she was a little girl. She fell off her bike and broke her nose, but she was to scared to do anything about it. Our parents said it was her decision since it's her face. When it was time for her surgery she was very scared. It was 10:00am when she went in and she was petrified. She said the last thing she remembers was a lot of needles and a numbing sensation. When I was allowed to see her, she mumbled nonsense nonstop because of all the drugs. She wasn't very bruised, but her face looked puffy. She said that she was really uncomfortable because she had to breathe through her mouth and go to sleep on her back. She started to feel a little bit of pain later that night. Most people go home the same day, but because she was still really tired and the anesthesia was not wearing off quickly enough, our mother requested that she sleep at the hospital. She felt better in the morning, so she went home. Her face had blown up like a blowfish, and it looked purple around her eyes.. She could hardly open her eyes, and her upper lip was swollen, so she couldn't really talk. The swelling went down a little the next day, and the skin around her eyes was turning yellow. Three days later she went to the doctor's, to get her cast removed. It has been 7 months now and she love's her nose because it goes great with her face. I would recommend doing this only if you wanted to feel good about yourself, not so you could impress other people. The way I see it, it was a week in hell for a lifetime of beauty inside and out.

- 24/09/01 you miss out some important details like - how much did it cost? How much time off work do you need? Did her partner support her decision? etc etc. This is a fascinating subject but we need to know more! Cheers, Karen |
