Advantages: Samples were free

Disadvantages: Poor product

The Te Tao website was recommend to me for free samples of a shampoo I might like to try. Te Tao means way to virtue, and a leaflet came with my shampoo and conditioner samples explaining which herbs would help which hair type. There are 5 types each named after a Oriental element, nice sales gimic but I can't see and spiritual significance in hair care. The samples they sent were Lemongrass shampoo for normal to oily hair, which didn't lather well and left my hair smelling of TCP, and Ginseng Conditioner for dry, brittle hair. Not having both hair types I let my daughter use the conditioner, which smelt a little better than the shampoo. However it did make her hair quite greasy and she had to wash it the following day. I would not buy this product. I feel it sells on the packaging and Kuan Ltd are cashing in on a New Age interest in Oriental spiritualality. Personaly I don't care if they think it means tea for hair and the way to virtue, and I'm not going to let it bother me how one name can mean two things, because in my book it now means a third, overpriced shampoo that I shall avoid.
