Advantages: shine
Disadvantages: runny conditioner
If you’ve read my previous op on Te Tao Lemongrass Tea Shampoo then you will have noticed I didn’t elaborate on the conditioner. That’s because it would have been in the wrong category! Lemongrass Tea Conditoner Ingredients: This conditioner contains the following natural products – Fleece Flower Root (Polygonum multiflorum extract) - renowned for restoring the texture and colour of greying hair and is also regularly used by Chinese doctors to treat thinning hair and invigorate Qi (vital energy) and blood. Schizandra chinensis extract – is known to help the body withstand and adapt to stress. Lemongrass oil – which has antibacterial properties. It has been known to be used for Athlete's foot, insect repellent, scabies, muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, insufficient milk in breast feeding mothers, colitis, indigestion, fevers, infections illness, headaches, nervous exhaustion and other stress related disorders. Cardamom oil - stimulates the circulation in damp, cold conditions imparting a warm, glow to the skin. Cardamom is also known to increase mental alertness and is reputed to attract the opposite sex! It also helps with indigestion, mental fatigue and nervous strain. Sarsaparilla extract – restores vitality and puts body back into your hair. (It is also an aphrodisiac!) Arnica extract – heals wounds, bruises and other injuries. It also heals and stimulates the nervous and circulatory systems and eliminates toxins whist restoring damaged tissues. Ginseng extract - invigorates and strengthens lungs and digestion, helps the heart and calms the spirit. Appearance – a weird beige-lemon coloured substance, much runnier than most conditioners. I'm not very impressed with the consistency - it is the only thing that lets this conditioner down. Sniff test – much like the Lemongrass shampoo, a fres
h lemongrass scent. I really like the scent - it's not too overpowering. My boyfriend even said my hair smelled nice. I didn’t taste this product either – I’m not *totally* mad you know! I bought the bottle for 99p from Home Bargain store in Mossley Hill. I don't think I would pay the full retail price for this - with it being so runny. After shampooing (preferably with Lemongrass shampoo), massage the conditioner into your hair and leave for 1-2 minutes. As its quite runny I find that I use a lot to compensate. I wouldn’t recommend this conditioner to anyone with very dry hair – it’s not rich and creamy enough. However it does leave my hair very shiny. Would I use it again? Of course, but I would recommend a weekly deep-condition with another product. It left my hair with a nice gentle scent and its a lot more silky - which I really like. 7/10 TE TAO and TEA for HAIR are registered trademarks of Kuan Limited, 20a Eccleston Street, London SW1W 9LT.
