THE INFECTION Thrush is caused by a yeast (candida), which normally lives within the vagina. Sometimes the pH balanced of the vagina can be disturbed and the candida will increase resulting in a thrush infection. What is thrush. A yeast, a type of fungus that commonly makes it's presence felt in the vagina. I make no apologoes for posting a second medical advice opinion.
