Advantages: comes in a box with handy lid!!

Disadvantages: doesnt straighten very well, is bulky and heavy, cant alternate plastic comb

I first saw the Toni and Guy ceramic straighten-it irons in Boots and thought they looked fab. They were big and i dont like the smaller ones as i dont have the time or patience to fiddle about every morning. Also they were ceramic and I was after a ceramic model,as I was then using the standard futura iron.Since Toni and Guy is such a well known make i decided to part with thirty pounds and buy it.

It was awful. It just didn't straighten very well at all.It was bulky and heavy and made my hand ache.It was awkard to use and the ceramic coating certainly did not aid atraightening. It did not seem to have any real straightening power in it,not compared to my trusty Futuras.

I was dismayed to be honest.I couldnt believe Toni and Guy would put their name to such a useless tool. After using it only once,i tried to sell it locally for half the retail price. No one wanted it so I gave it to my boyfriends neice.

Toni and Guy must use their own products in their salons but if they use these straighteners i would be shocked.Maybe if you are a skilled hairdresser you might get it to work but still.its a headache!I would advise any one considering buying a straightener to avoid this one.
If you want a top notch product shell out for a GHD.Or if you havent got the funds plum for a Futura.
