I have spent a stupid amount of money over the last 15 years trying to find the right shampoos and conditioners for my hair, Ok, my hair has had different needs over those years (even a perm – ahh!) but I think I’ve found one of the best. Tricologie from Boots. From the ‘Rejuvenating Shampoo’ at £4.99 for 250ml, the ‘Smooth and Sleek Serum’ at £7.99 for 50ml to the ‘Moisturising Conditioner’ at £4.99 for 250ml it’s not the cheapest product on Boots shelves. But it really does work wonders for my hair. They say on the packaging that “Boots have identified all the factors that affect your hair developed individually tailored solutions that are proven to give you the best hair you’ve ever experienced.” Well, in this range I really think they have. I just had my hair cut and the hairdresser smoothed some oil onto my hair and it looked wonderful – not wanting to buy the really expensive stuff from her, I asked her to suggest an ‘off the shelf’ version. I had over a tenner on my Boots advantage card, so off I trundled. I bought the ‘Smooth and Sleek Serum’, took it home and tried it out. Should have read the directions really, I only needed 2 squirts, you can guess how much I used! When I tried it out properly, it made my hair look shiny and sleeky, I had none of those tiny ‘baby’ hairs sticking out the top of my head like an alien! I just had to try some of the other products in the range. The next item I tried was the Moisturising Conditioner and I couldn’t believe my hair, I usually use a ‘leave-in conditioner’, but I honestly didn’t need it! (which is saving me pennies for a start) They say that it protects against pollution, sun damage and heat styling and it contains ingredients that will reduce colour fade, strengthen and prevent hard water from dulling the hair. They’re right.
All of the products have a really nice, a really…. clean smell. The packaging is really ‘now’ with the aluminium look and the product inside being a blue/green colour. Hair that looked unkempt and ‘raggy’ now looks sleek and shiny and smells really nice too. I leant it to my pal who has over bleached hair, and it didn’t have enough uummpff that she needs (mind you, she uses a hot oil every time she washes her hair!). I’m going to try the ‘Balancing Shampoo’ next, but at £4.99 for 250ml, it might just have to wait until I have enough points! Try it. You won't go back.
I bought this product a week ago from BOOTS. Firstly its very expensive at £4.99 for 250ml. The conditioner is slightly cheaper at £3.69. No Im not insanely rich although I wish I was, the only reason I bought this was because I had some points on my Boots Advantage card and on that day if you bought the shampoo you got the conditioner free. So it ended up costing me nothing for £8.69 worth of goods!! So, having said that about the price I was expecting some serious results!!! I wasnt overly dissapointed. After using the shampoo, I was a bit dissapointed about the fragrance......there isnt one.....well there is but its pretty nondescript. But immediatly after using the shampoo whilst myhair was still wet I could run my fingres through my hair!! (Usually I always need conditioner to do this) After using the conditioner my hair was so soft and smooth, the only thing that lets these products down is the fragrance,....oh that and the fact that its blooming expensive.
