Not Too Shabby! (Urban Decay in general)
Member Name: Serendipitous Spice
Advantages: some great/unusual colors, a few stand-out items Disadvantages: inconsistency of quality, some items overpriced
The Urban Decay line has pretty well deviated from its old slogan: "Does pink make you puke?" They now offer more shades of pink than you can shake a proverbial stick at. Their "freaky" shades are becoming few and far between. However, there are still plenty of fun colors and products in this line. The quality of the line varies wildly from product to product. Some of their products simply are not worth the somewhat lofty pricetags. The two all-around best products are the Lip Gunk and their liquid eye liners. Both are of good quality, are easy to apply, and come in great colors - they're both definitely worth the money. The lipsticks and eyeshadows are iffy - some of the colors are amazing, some leave a lot to be desired. It's best that you get to a store and test the lipsticks and shadows before you buy them. And, in my experience at least, the nailpolishes are awful. Pretty colors, but they go goopy and thick much too quickly, and they take a very long time to dry. The trendy kits like "UD Rocks" are just overpriced rhinestones and are definitely not worth the money - go the arts and crafts store and buy the same thing for much less money. All in all, stick to the lip gunks and liquid liners, and try out lipsticks and eyeshadows before you buy. Summary: |
