Writing in this category is something of a departure for me... But anyway, I came across some interesting bits of information about water the other day and thought it might be useful to share them with fellow dooyooers. OK, so we all know that our bodies are mostly water, and that we should be drinking at least 8 glasses/2 litres of the wet stuff every day. But how many of us actually manage to do this? This amount of water is an awful lot to physically consume, and lets face it there are plenty of alternatives out there that taste better (especially when you are faced with tap water in hard water areas - yuk). I think most of us realise that we should be ... Read the complete review

**What do we know? Very little, as usual.** The aboriginal population of Australia had the right idea. They knew where to find water, and what to do. They would go to a tree, and cut a hole in it, stick a twig in the hole, and drink the water that dripped out of it. Then, they would plug the hole back up again, to preserve the resources. Whereas we aren't quite so civilised. (That was a deliberate choice of the word civilised there, to highlight a sad irony…) We chuck trolleys in rivers, dump waste in the sea, pour sewage into it, waste it, contaminate it with hormones and pesticides….. Still….. (waters run deep) that wasn't the ... Read the complete review

If you get water, cheap from your tap, then what's the point in spending 60p+ to get a bottle of mineral water? Well, it might be worth spending those extra pennies to get the minerals essential for a good diet. **~~WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT WATER?~~** All natural mineral water must come from a pollution free source. The water must also be bottled at source and nothing can be done to alter the flavour of the water. This goes for all natual mineral waters and not just Volvic (However, spring water has different regulations). Volvic water comes from the Auvergne National Park in France. You might have seen the advert for Volvic where it ... Read the complete review

I did a wonderful, wonderful thing today. Something I should have done days ago but somehow couldn't. I had a shower. Yes, that's what I said, I had a shower. Not in the biblical sense you understand, just an outpouring of water upon the bod. No, I am not normally a grubby person, water and I are usually good friends, it was just a really bad dose of the blues/blacks/greys. When I feel deeply depressed then water hardly gets a look in with me, externally or internally. This, of course, is VERY BAD. Not only is water the very essential of life when taken internally, it is pretty much an essential for raising the spirits too. I ... Read the complete review

A vital element without water, humans cannot survive for long periods of time.Water ensures the body can carry out its metabolic functions correctly, and we all need to drink at least 8 glases(thats around 6 pints) daily. The benefits of drinking more water become visible days after you begin to drink larger quantitys.Your skin should become clearer and less clogged and after a few weeks your complexion will positevly glow! This is because water helps to flush out toxins in your body, and aids the digestion. You may also find you have less headaches,as these are primary warning signs of dehydration, which of course,is prevented by drinking water. If you exercise ... Read the complete review
