Dark visors may become legal within the year, if the plan to develop a British Standard goes a ahead. It’s illegal at the moment to use a visor that has not been manufactured to BS4110 or European Standards ECE22.05. Last year trading standards officers were told to start confiscating dark visors from shops and dealerships across the country.
