Advantages: Saves you being cut to pieces
Disadvantages: None
Anyone who has ever suffered the hell of cleaning broken window glass from a car interior will be very interested in a new product on offer from a company (on the Web) called Pentagon. This is a window reinforcement system primarily designed for the side windows of your car. Called “Supaglass”, it is basically a super-strong, thick membrane which is bonded onto the interior of the window in much the same way as if you were fitting a “stick on” tint to the glass. This membrane serves to protect you and your passengers from flying glass if you are involved in an accident, by effectively stopping the glass from scattering. In other words, the window still breaks, but the fragments stick to the membrane instead of to your face, thus saving you from being cut to shreds and possibly suffering unnecessary permanent scarring. It also offers increased protection against “car-jacking” or “smash and grab” merchants, who kindly put a hammer or brick through your window when you are pulled up at traffic lights, and take off with whatever they can snatch from the interior. (Handbags are favourite, ladies !!!) This happened recently to a good friend of my wife, and it is VERY traumatic. The company say you can also have it fitted in various tints, if that tickles your fancy. P.S. Web address is: www.pentagon-supaglass.com

- 02/06/01 Sounds like an answer to a maiden's prayer. But why is price unavailable? I know it depends on the area, and can't be put in the requisite slot, but you could have mentioned it in the body of the op. |
