I've just turned seventeen and immediately started driving lessons with the AA driving school, first of all I went to BSM (who would have charged me an extra - although negligible - 43 pence per lesson) but they have this odd system whereby they sort their customers by postal code, this sounds alright but DOESN'T WORK. I live in a place called Mirfield which has a WF** *** (wakefield) postcode and although I live about five or six miles from their nearest office (Huddersfield) they insisited that we delt with them through their Wakefield branch which is around 12 miles away, what's the logic in that? After finally persuading them that I did actually live closer Huddersfield than Wakefield they told me they had no spare instructors for me to use for around two months!!!
So be warned about the whole postcode thing and if they don't believe you then ARGUE, it does work.
If you are starting to learn to drive then why not read my opinion on the AA driving school, it's not such a moaning opinion.
