Top 10 Films in general: ... has been the hardest of all my “Top Tens” to compile. How do you choose just ten films from the hundreds of thousands that have been made? OK, many eliminate themselves. Clearly there can be no room for “Red Sonia”, surely the worst film ever made. However, just being an awful film is not, on its own, sufficient cause to exclude. After all, “Plan 9 from Outer Space” has achieved a cult status BECAUSE it i...

raehippychick Top 10 Films in general
... a lot of thought I have decided to share my top 10 films. These are my favourite films based on the feel good factor; every one of these films gives me a gentle pleasure and I can honestly describe each one as good for my soul. I thoroughly enjoy many other films such as the engrossing JFK starring Kevin Costner, but it doesn’t make me feel as if I am wrapped in a soft comforting blanket. So no matter how good a film is if it doesn’t fit that criteria it has had to be left out 1. The Railway Children (1970) This is without question my all time favourite movie, ever. I love its simplicity and old fashioned values. In 1970 Lionel Jeffries (Grandpa in Chitty Chitty B...

... with all my top 10 listings, this is about my 10 favourite movies, not the best or better directed. To make this shorter, I decided to include a saga of movies that I liked has only one movie. Repeating every movie of a trilogy or a saga is not very fun neither to write nor read. 1 ? Lord of the Rings Trilogy Has a die-hard fantasy fan I loved this movies. Until then nothing like it had ever been made for the fans of this genre and what a trilogy it is. Epic in size, in battles, in plot and in characters, this was a dream come true to fans of fantasy since it is to this genre what star wars is to sci-fi (if star...

... love these ?top ten? categories, don?t you? Well, here are my top ten films to be going on with, all in very poor taste, I?m glad to say. I watch films because I enjoy them, not because they?re going to teach me something. Oh, and I?m easily amused! So, in no particular order, here goes: Star Wars Trilogy:- Ok, Ok, I know that lumping three films together just because they happen to be in a trilogy is cheating, but hey, this is MY top ten list, and I?ll cheat if I want to! Believe it or not I was in my early twenties before I first saw the original (and by far the best) Star W...
