Every year I watch the Oscars - sorry "Academy Awards", and every year, my dad complains about how they are fixed! I mean, sure they may be, but that isn't the point! I suppose it is like those people who watch WWF, even though, they know it is set-up!
I like watching the Oscars, usually it is presented by Billy Crystal, or some other comedian; whoever it is, they put on a great show!
First, there is a little comedy sketch, based on most of the main movies of the year, "mocking" them, then there are the usual things of the awards, a song, a performance etc etc. Most of it is funny though, and you get to see bits of movies etc, and it is great to see a movie/actor that you like win every now and then!

However, it lasts 4 hours, and don't get me started on the speeches such as... "wow - I didn't think I was gonna win..." then they get an eighteen-page speech out. The have to thank EVERYBODY, y'know, the cat, the goldfish, the 4th grade teacher that believed in him/her... and then comes the waterworks...

Summary:
