Advantages: A great laugh
Disadvantages: Too many semi-naked bimbos on the cover
Sky is one of those magazines that is great to read on a long, boring train journey. Mind you, whenever I read it I keep thinking I'm too old to be laughing at all this childishness. Sky is very definitely aimed at the 20-30s age group. The main topics it covers are sex, glamorous young celebrities, sex, nostalgia for kid's TV programmes and dodgy '80s pop music, and erm, more sex. It doesn't take itself at all seriously. The articles will make you laugh and it is an attractively designed magazine. The celebrity photos are great, except for the fact that they tend to be of semi-naked women. This is my biggest criticism of Sky. It claims to be aimed at both men and women and the articles do support this. The only problem is that the cover photo is similar to all those tedious lads' mags and the celebrity interviews are usually with whatever bimbo is flavour of the month. A few more male stars on the cover would certainly be a big improvement. I don't buy Sky every month, but it's great if you just want cheering up.
