Advantages: great lyrics very reflective, uses samples of great songs

Disadvantages: The violence peope have to go through to create a masterpiece

I only discovered 2Pac long after he died and i heard the song California Love. And i was in love with the track !
Unfortunately as with some hardcore rappers in today's society even though they are famous and don't need to fight anymore it seems to be animal instinct to commit crimes as we all know members of D-12, Eminem and Dr Dre all superb in their own right have been to prision or have been in court several times.
2pac was part of that culture,East-Side Vs West-Side and he was killed after surviving 5 gun shot wounds less than a year earlier.
His music has , in the last 3 years really come to light using samples of well known greats and is popular with people who listen to more commercial music as opposed to underground , hard core rap.
I am not the biggest Rap fan and my tastes in music vary from old soul and R n B to hip hop, pop and garage music.
But in my opinion he is a genius and hopefully would be amazed to see how the world has changed and how popular his music is to the young people of today. Unfortunately he never experienced his worldwide fame and how he made people sing along and buy his music in droves .

He is amazing and his lyrics reflect the trouble between gangs and the violence between them. We should all learn from this and stop the hate before another person dies.
