... I was hooked on the sweeping violins, bitter lyrics, and gentle guitar work. Then I realised that they mostly made punk/rock tunes. They actually educated me in a whole new and exciting genre of music. They were the best teachers I'd ever had. Fast, exciting and well written, their songs were short but solid. I heard them play live on Radio 1 twice. Their energy and ability to whip the crowd up into a frenzy astounded me. The working partnership of Pete Vuckovic and Chris McCormack produced stunningly deep and interesting songs with an edge so near pop it is hard to believe. ... lyrics, a beautiful voice in the form of pete vuckovic, brilliant guitars from Chris McCormack, this band were destined for huge things...had it not been this diverse mix of talent that pull them each different ways. no longer did Pete want to do hard edge songs, he wanted to go more the way 'fit boy, faint girl' and 'beautiful day' went, whereas Chris wanted to get heavier, like 'Half way up the downs' and 'Pure' Still, over there relatively short career, they brought out two amazing albums, which will be listened to for years to come, and which many bands will quietly take influence from. ...

... are a really good band that play some really good music. Their albums contain alot of cutting edge material that has creatively put together with alot of imagianation and flair. I really enjoy listening to their albums and find their music puts me in a great frame of mind and gives me a buzz as only music can. This music has to played at full volume to really appreciate the driving bass and rhythmic guitar. i would recommend this band totally and it really goes to show what can be done with musical instrument. ...
