Flutes ... ve been playing the flute for about 11 years now and the piccolo for a few less, and have to say, the best student flute I have had is a Yamaha 311. It s solid silver lip plate and head joint is far better than the silver plated 211. It gives a fantastic tone and sound quality, even in at a top C and beyond! I have even been able to play top notes quietly, unlike other brands of flutes. I got it for £711 but only because she shop price matched, so although fairly expensive for a student flute, definately worth the money and felt better to hold and play than other flutes available when I brought mine! Censorship In Music : Should acts like Eminem and Marilyn Manson be Censored? ... acts like Eminem and Marilyn Manson be Censored? This depends - censored HOW for one start - to be completely not allowed to swear would be ridiculous and to not be allowed sing about sex and drugs would kill rock n roll wouldn t it ? :o) For starters if swearing in songs was censored it would destroy many many classic songs in my collection how could you replace Rage against the machine s " FK you I won t do what you tell me.." and what would become of Nine Inch Nails Closer ??? to name just a couple. Marilyn Manson in general ... of ranting on about how great Marilyn Manson is and how much I Enjoy his music and how ignorant people can be (and can t they just, I can t even begin to describe how ignorant. Particularly many years ago while at school rock music and Marilyn Manson were weird and those who did not conform to the normal nice happy pop music and dress top to toe in Adidas or whatever the trendy brand of the week was were freaks and got much hassle over nothing....(yeah yeah I m a little bitter and twisted) But these ignorant people seem to still make up the majority of today s population - I know there s people with brains who use them out there somewhere but I still find...
