A Perfect Circle in general

This band is one of the most amazing bands out there. With Maynards sultry voice and genuis, dark lyrics. I have enjoyed every song on their first release Mer De Noms. I have recommended this album to many friends and only a few have liked it. Well I guess that's not important. As long as I like it I suppose. My favorite song on the album is 'Thomas'. When 'mer de noms' was realeased i bought it straigh away. It then proceeded to the back of my shelf and stayed there for about a year. Then one day i put it one and realised how amazing they are. A perfect cirle are now one of my favourite bands. Their musical style is very clever. They combine hard progressive rock, with quite repeating melodys to make beautiful pieces of music. 3 Libras would have to be my favourite song ever...its truely beautiful. a perfect circle Quite posibly the best band to come out of America since Nirvana. Being a TOOL fan i figured that anything James Maynard Keenan was working on was sure to be excellent. Having listened to mer der noms my theory was proved right. This eponymous debut is fantastic - every song on this album could be a single. THe standout tracks are the heart - felt 3 libras, the amazing hollow and the incredible judith. Many people I have spoken to have said that as soon as they heard 3 libras they cried! Being a big Tool fan I thought I'd buy Mer de Noms as soon as it came out, and i am glad that i did. It is absolutely amazing!!!! Not only is the album amazing, but they are also an amazing live act. I have seen them twice. Once at Glastonbury (a perfect circle were the only reason i went, and well worth it) and once in Manchester (where i met the band afterwards, but sadly not maynard) A perfect Circle live are absolutely amazing, there is no other word to describe it, their energy is fantastic and Maynard's dancing is worth it even without the music, although his dancing was better at Glastonbury than in Manchester... i do have to say...
