Firstly i just wanna state that I know that this is not quite the right category but i have suggested it and will request it to be moved later. Well this is A1's third album to date and was released on the 27th may 2002 but we have seen a lot of drastic changes in their style with this album. i do not want to give away too much about that just now but as you read on you will get the gist of it I think. They were more of a teenagers boyband but now we see them try to adopt a lot more of an adult style of singing. has this worked at all I hear you cry well read on and I will tell you what I think of it...........

Track 1 - Caught in th middle

This is one of the better songs on this album and most people should know this one with it's recent chart success. An easy going track with a straight forward pop beat and feel to this song. Not a song that is really catchy though it is not too bad.

Track 2 - Make it good

This is another easy going track that shows the differences in the groups style. Still this track has nothing that really appeals to me and is more for followers or fans of the group. It is again the straight forward pop style tune and is not as bad as some that I have heard but in places it sounds almost like a hymn.

Track 3 - Here comes the rain

Well we get our first change of tempo here as this is a lot slower song with piano and guitar to try and give it a bit more of a moody feel to it. it sounds like it trying to be a ballad but slightly falls short.

Track 4 - When i'm missing you

This is more like a slow rock song mixed with a love ballad. a lot of guitar work is used here to try and give it a nice moody smooth sort of feel but for me it just seems plain like the type of song that you wouldn't even notice was playing.

Track 5 - This aint what love is about

The tempo steps back up again here to i suppose what would be classed as a faster rock style tha
t sort of reminds me of a Bryan Adams rip off. This has nothing that holds me whatsoever and I would even go so far as to say that it sounds somewhat dull.

Track 6 - Crazy

This is another rock style ballad and it is not too bad but it has not got that something to really hold your attention another strike in my books.

Track 7 - Learn to fly

We go back to the slower pop style ballad here. This track also is so dull that you could almost fall asleep listening to this one. Not a track that really demands any attention at all from you.

Track 8 - Isn't it cheap

We come to a more heavier rock style here somewhat similar to INXS so not one that I liked at all. I have never even bothered to listen to all of this track as this is not my style of music at all.

Track 9 - If I can't have you

This is another slow pop style ballad which is one of the better songs on this album. As it stands it is not too bad but again it is nothing special and quite plain. Maybe the ladies out there would more like this track.

Track 10 - Make it through the night

Yawn yawn wow thought that I was gonna fall asleep for a minute there.

Track 11 - Cherish this love

Brilliant - not this song the fact that I am getting near the end of the cd. This is a ballad with mainly guitar and a bit of a gentle drum beat for accompanyment but it is too slow and another made more for the ladies as it is a song for more of the softhearted type.

Track 12 - Do you remember

This track goes back to a pop feel but once again it is nothing special even though to me it is one of the better tracks on this album so that must say a lot for this album. Unfortunatley I will not remember this track that reminds me more of the theme tune to the cartoon Doug at times.

Track 13 - One last song

I wish it was the last song. Another slow ballad that is boring to be blunt. I do not thin
k much of this as it had some potential if it was sung faster but it sounds too slow.

Track 14 - Let it out

I'll let this out Whey Hey it's the final track. In their true fashion they have put another dull pop style song to finish off that is nothing special at all. Finally the cd is over

My opinion of this whole album is that it is a whole load of trash. Your £9.99 would be a lot better spent on something else rather than this as with the group attempting to change their style they have failed miserably. Could this be the final end to A1's pop career I wonder because if this is all they have to offer I am afraid so in my eyes. this album offers only dissapointment after dissapointment. Leave it on the shelf and save some cash.
