A Perfect Circle in general:
... band is one of the most amazing bands out there. With Maynards sultry voice and genuis, dark lyrics. I have enjoyed every song on their first release Mer De Noms. I have recommended this album to many friends and only a few have liked it. Well I guess that's not important. As long as I like it I suppose. My favorite song on the album is 'Thomas'. A Perfect Circle Videos ... The guy's a genius. Laugh your socks off and point at me if you want but Madonna's 'Bad Girl' is one of my most favourite music videos EVER. Emotive, Stylish, Inspirational. I'm not gonna write endless drivel on how great Fincher is as you guys/gals already know that;). What i will say is 'Judith' by A Perfect Circle' is my 2nd best video of all time. (Directed by Fincher in case you didn't get my jist. What impresses me the most is it's basically a video of a band playing a song in a dingy studio. But who could pull it off as interesting and impressively as Fincher. I couldn't. A Perfect Circle in general ... 'mer de noms' was realeased i bought it straigh away. It then proceeded to the back of my shelf and stayed there for about a year. Then one day i put it one and realised how amazing they are. A perfect cirle are now one of my favourite bands. Their musical style is very clever. They combine hard progressive rock, with quite repeating melodys to make beautiful pieces of music. 3 Libras would have to be my favourite song ever...its truely beautiful. The band were not actually friends when they formed. They were put together by someone who though they would sound good. Now, they are really close friends and the sound they make is superb. A Perfect Circle in general ... perfect circle Quite posibly the best band to come out of America since Nirvana. Being a TOOL fan i figured that anything James Maynard Keenan was working on was sure to be excellent. Having listened to mer der noms my theory was proved right. This eponymous debut is fantastic - every song on this album could be a single. THe standout tracks are the heart - felt 3 libras, the amazing hollow and the incredible judith. Many people I have spoken to have said that as soon as they heard 3 libras they cried! It truly is a fantastic debut. Other standout tracks include : rose, thomas and brena.
