Aaliyah was a singer, dancer and actress who was very famous in America and only just making a big impact on the UK. She had so much to look forward to, as it seemed she was going to be even more famous than she already was. Unfortunately Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash whilst returning from a video shoot in the Bahamas. Nine people were killed altogether. The crash was thought to have been caused by engine failure. Aaliyah was one of the finest r and b singers that the world had ever come across. But, strangely, she failed to really do well in the UK. 'Age ain't nothing but a number' was the first album I ever bought and she hasn't let me down since. Aaliyah should ... Read the complete review

Aaliyah should be an international superstar of Janet Jackson proportions. Yet, for whatever reason, the slender caramel-brown songstress has hit a glass ceiling in the fame department, after releasing two well recieved double platinum albums. So what's a diva in training to do? Hook up with extended family member and all- world producer Timbaland, again. This time, for your self-titled 3rd album, you release an adventurous single about relationship turmoul. "We Need a Resolution" with its twisted, futuristic chamber music,is the perfect display for Aaliyah's disarming angelic alto. Her pitch also works well on the sex-drenched carribean ...
