Advantages: good CD's, first time fans, quick easy read
Disadvantages: depth
Aerosmith's New release "Just Push Play" is another triumph by Steve Tyler and Co. now stretching there musical reign over 4 decades. Owning 12 CD's myself it's easy to tell that Aerosmith have been changing their style of music to accommodate with today's demands. Their success was gained from the great heavy rock albums such as, "Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks". From this initial success they were able to build on there talent and music range (aswell as the drugs etc.) writing the classic "Dream on" and the forever immortalized "I don't want to a miss a thing" from the film Armageddon. Together with Wayne's World 2 they showed that they are still alive and rocking generating new followers in America, England and all over the world. Even though the more sentimental die hard fans believe that Aerosmith have dumped their roots to take on the "pop" culture with seems to be conquering the world at the moment but all musicians have there critics but what I believe is that Aerosmith have moved with the times to cater to the needs of the people. However they have not been consumed by the pop world. They stick with the great rock music as shown in "Just Push Play" but also throw in the ballads that captures the soul of the listener. There's a new saying among the Kerrang fans which may cause the readers of my opinion to lower my rating or possibly push it up but still it couldn't be more relevant for the Aerosmith albums "Big Ones", "Just Push Play", and the new compilation album "Young Lust" "All Killer No Filler" happy listening
