Aimee Mann in general: ... was on a cold day in a car on a works trip to Manchester that Aimee Man was introduced to me. My colleague (the driver and owner of said car) knew Aimee Man and is a mad fan of hers. As soon as the music drifted out from the speakers we shut up and listened. The words, the music, everything is just brilliant. I now have 2 of her albums (I am fairly new to liking her) and stick them on my CD player whenever I get t...

She's more a peer of people like Suzanne Vega, Tori Amos, people like that. Her best album is probably 1995's I'm With Stupid, but 1993's Whatever is also superb, as is the Magnolia Soundtrack which is all but a solo album (Supertramp and Gabrielle creep on, but it's mainly Aimee's work) She has one of the best voices around, and has a great grasp of lyrics very much like the aforementioned Suzanne Vega, and if you've never checked her out then you are being left ...
