... disappointing. When the doors opened it was absolute chaos, people running to the front. There was one row of people in front of us. The support act was on first, and I don't even remember his name, but he was absolutely awful, I really did not enjoy it, and I think I expected someone of a similar ilk / style to Alanis. More recently she has supported Matchbox 20 on tour, this I can understand (although I personally think they should have supported her, but I am biased!). I went to see Alanis Morissette in 2005 at Manchester Carling Apollo Theatre. The theatre is largely standing, with a sloping flooring area. I got the tickets for my 21st birthday, and being a huge fan, I wanted to get there early so I could be at the front. We queued from around 2pm and were about the 20th in the queue. About 2 hours before the performance started, Alanis arrived with her entourage. Due to the small intimate nature of the theatre, the stage door is where you queue, so some of us fans were lucky enough to catch a close glimpse of our idol.
