Nicole and Natalie Appleton have spent most of the last five years in the limelight. As members of the all girl band All Saints, their big break came in 1997 when their major label debut, I Know Where It's At, reached number 4. They went on to enjoy five chart-topping singles within the next three years. The sisters, along with Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis, were hailed as strong, independent, opinionated females who seemed to embody the late 1990's zeitgeist of girl power. Their celebrity relationships made them the darlings of the tabloid gossip pages. Nicole was engaged to Robbie Williams before she settled down and had a baby with ... Read the complete review

The All Saints are a perfect example of a band who never quite reached their potential. They were originally formed in London by childhood mates Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt. They were later joined by sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton. They enjoyed huge success in the UK and in Europe throughout their relatively short career which yielded just two full albums. Their first hit 'I Know Where It's At' reached #3 in 1997, an impressive debut. Sassy and street, it showed off Lewis's superb and original writing style. Immediately, they were labelled as the next Spice Girls, who had rocked the music scene the year before. ... Read the complete review

I am not going to write a huge opinion on All Saints. More an opinion on one particular song. If the truth is to be known until I heard this track I never gave All Saints a second look (well I had a little peek but that had very little to do with the music). This all changed when I listened to the track “Never Ever”. For those of you that are unaware I have had a pretty bad time over the last few months in one way or another. I could imagine this track had been written with me at least partly in mind. The lyrics instantly changed my opinion of the band (up until then I had looked at them as a manufactured pop band). I then decided I should ... Read the complete review

All Saints have the potential to be one of the best girl bands in the world, maybe a little over the top, but they are good. I like the RnB feel to their music, however constant rumours that they are splitting up must be unsettling for the girls. There success with their first album was enormous, songs like 'Never Ever' were instant hit. They were different from the 'Spice Girls' and for everyone who disliked the Spice Girls this was a girl group that everyone liked. However, the four girls Natalie, Nicole, Melanie and Shaznay haven't been without controversy, with their lavish lifestyles and their break to have kids. It's ... Read the complete review

Watching late night regional television a few years ago, I came across a then young band just about to release their first single, I Know Where It's At. This band was All Sainst, and the music immediately grabbed my attention, not because it was something new- I mean pop's been around for ages, but because this was not one of those manufactured bands- it was a real group of talented friends. As the years progressed the rumour mill has buzzed about who is leaving the band and whether it will spend the end of one of the best all girl bands of our generation- sorry Mel, Geri, Emma, Mel and Victoria but you just aren't good enough to match All Saints. ...
