All Saints in general ... you know All Saints have now broke up. At the height of their fame, they were the best girl group around. They emerged just after the Spice Girls, however they were much sexier, prettier and they could sing. In my eyes they represented real girl power, they were individuals who knew what they wanted, not made up caricatures. The All Saints, consisted of Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and the two Appleton sisters, Nathalie and Nicole. When they first began in 1993, Melanie and Shaznay were the only ones in the group. Everyone should recall the orginal that hit the no1 spot and I have listened to it over and over,that summer type of song with the smooth voice of Shaznay kicking the song of then the girls joining in and building the song up until it just hits you with the fabulous echoes,the song seems to just speed up and gets you singing along to it.It... All Saints in general ... All Saints are a perfect example of a band who never quite reached their potential. They were originally formed in London by childhood mates Shaznay Lewis and Melanie Blatt. They were later joined by sisters Natalie and Nicole Appleton. They enjoyed huge success in the UK and in Europe throughout their relatively short career which yielded just two full albums.
