Having seen Amen twice now, both at festivals, they have not yet lost theire edge for me.
The first time i saw them was last summer at the Leeds festival( bitterness over having to travel the length of the country due to Reading being sold out was by that point starting to fade!). They were amazing, electricity on stage spreading throughout the crowd(who were packed in and overflowing out of the small tent!)
I was genuinely delighted to meet members of the band after their performance.Sonny Mayo remains one of the most friendly, polite rock stars i have ever met.
The second time i saw Amen was at this years Ozzfest. The atmosphere was different to the more intimate surroundings of the tent at Leeds but Amen still put on a quality performance despite frontman Caseys throat problems In all honesty i was just a little too short to appreciate Amen visually, with just occasionally glimpses of Casey Chaos' head whipping frantically across the stage!
The are an energetic,crowd pleasing band,their energy is expressed best through live performances rather than on cd so i urge you to go see them if you have the chance!
