... It's just so romantic, relaxing and dramatic. I am a sort of person tht usually listens to Rock and pop music but when I heard this i was outstanded. Please take note on what I am saying and give his music a chance. He will broaden your musical tastes for the better. Think of it this way. When you have your girlfriend round your not going to play some cheesy pop or heavy metal. So if you get into this sort of music it will help. It is music for all occasions. I am listening to it right now and feel clam, rela...more

Premium Review Andrea Bocelli in general: Romanza - it's relaxing (108 words)

I bought this CD mainly as I'd heard the duet "Con Te Partiro" performed by Andrea and Sarah Brightman. It is my favourite song off the album, but it's a close call. I think the fact that the songs are sung in Italian and he has the most fantastic voice appeals the most. It's a beautiful album and certainly one i'll be listening to for a long time to come. The words and their English translations are provided in the cover which I thought was a nice touch. Definately an album to relax to and has even inspired me to learn Italian! ...

After Andreas Bocelli relased Con te Partio with Sarah Brightman I had to find out how much more talent he had. Whilst me and my wife were in Venice wecame across a music shop with lots of his albums on sale including Romanza which had not been released in the UK at the time, I bought the album and from then on I became a big fan. Romanza is not typical of the artist but it was a direction change to the more poppy side of his repertoire. Since then I have purchased much of his work including, Verdi, Puccini etc. etc. Certain songs like La Donna mobile, panne angelicus, katerine really make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. But every timeI ...

I discovered this 1996 cd after buying Bocellis second collection, Sogno. I didnt find it as immediately compelling as Sogno, but the songs do grow on you as you listen to them more. His voice is so beautiful, totally un forced. There are several duets on the cd, one of which features Sarah Brightman, Con te Partiro, or Time to Say Goodbye, which I actuallly remember seeing them perform on one of the early Lottery shows! It would be hard to pick a favourite track, as although all the songs are basically love songs they vary from stirring tunes like Macchine Da Guerra to the more gentle melody of Le Tue Parole. Dont let the Italian put you off, the songs ...
