Armand has quite a history of remixing, producing and DJing throughout the world stage now. He's remixed a great deal of artists on the dance scene but he reached the greatest notoriety most recently in 1999 with his hit single, "You don't even know me" with Duane Harden on the vocals. The single was available originally as a white label with a couple of other tracks - about two months later it was in the charts, as a big, big hit. Well, Big things were promised yet none were delivered. You dont even know me and Flowers were massive smashes for him. He even had a "mix off" planned against our own FAT BOY SLIM that never materialised. Why not? Where did he go? Armand Van Helden is an artist from America, not that you would be able to tell that from his tracks. My favoutite one of his is 'You don't know me', which I believe nearly anybody interested in House and Ttrance must have heard. This track has a great tune and the lyrics also deliver a powerful message. I first heard of this man several years ago when I heard this track on a dance CD, and I thought it was great. In fact, when I heard this, I thought I must listen to some music by the same artist. Ahhh! Armen indeed has a fine passion for house music. His music is the type of music one can listen too while late night cruising in downtown. I love the way he blends the city sounds into smooth drum beats. If you are that type of person that enjoys the city, you will like Armen VAn Heldens unique style of house. Also Armen has a very american touch to his house music. It's nice, when you listen to some of his songs such as "Sugar is sweeter" and "Fly away love" It makes you feel like you're in that american city such as San Francisco or New York.
