Ash played the Belfast Limelight Bar on 21 December 2000 on the final date of their UK tour. The main reason for this was “So we didn’t have to pay for our own flights home. The gig was broadcast live on the internet, as well as Radio 1. Pictures of the gig can be found at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/inside_r1/session_nireland/ash_live.shtml You can watch the webcast of the gig at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/alt/feature_ash_video.shtml We arrived at the Limelight at about 7.15, we had read on the Radio 1 Northern Ireland website to be down early because everything was moved forward because of it being broadcast on radio. ... Hello there, this one might be a little different, mainly because even though its the morning after I haven't fully recovered from this little event yet. Tell you the truth I actually feel like I'm cheating all you dooyoosers out there as it was only 7 songs and I don't remember the title of one of them (god I sound bad don't I), but I'm still giving it my best shot. It was a cold, wet afternoon in Grimsby on Thursday 5th March 2001, the town was buzzing with the news that Ash were going to be playing at the local Virgin Megastore for free at 5pm that evening, this is something that grabs your attention and in the 2 seconds it takes for me to ... Hello Glastonbury We arrived on site about and 6 oclock in the evening .it was a fair day still warm and a little sun. We erected our tent and had a little mooched around. Settled ourselves for an evening in front of the pyramid stage we were just to the left of the tower in the centre not too near the front but near enough to see the stage fairly well .The screens either side of the stage were good this year so if someone jumped up and down in front of us we could see the screens clearly anyway. The ground was dry and grassy not lush grass but enough so we were not sitting on dust. The audience was not huge most people were just chilling out. Ash was ... Read the complete review

Ash are back! The current tour with Little Hell is amazing and they will be playing countless other smaller venues throughout the U.K. The music is so suited to playing small venues and everyone enjoyed themselves. The support from Litlle Hell was excellent and got the crowd in the right mood. They deserve to do well. Ash played a brilliant set and you forget how many good songs they have. They played everything from their earlier stuff like 'patriot' and 'Angels' and blended it with there other brilliant albums with songs like 'kung fu' and 'girl from mars' getting the best reception. They threw a lot of songs in from the ... Read the complete review

Rock stardom is a strange anomaly. It can change nice quiet ordinary people into greedy, pretentious megalomaniacs who want all the benefits of fame and fortune yet show complete apathy towards their fans. But every once in a while a band comes along who shun the trend and give something back to the fans. Ash played the 300 capacity Barnsley theatre in December 2000 in front of a passionate and knowledgable crowd. This really was a show for the fans; they voted on the internet for which venues the band should play, and also voted for the songs that should be in the setlist. Ash have further embraced the technological age by recently releasing the song 'Warmer ... Read the complete review
