The backstreet boys used to be renouned as a typical boy-band that would only appeal to teenage girls. This certainley used to be my veiw a few years ago. However, recentley I have been exposed to their music much more, due to my little sister, and I have come to enjoy their music immensley. They have fantastic vocal skills, and harmonise better then any group I am aware of. In my eyes they fully deserve every penny they earn as they are very talented lads, and they probabley deserve a little more respect from certain socail groups such as adult and teenage males. 1. They do an amazing amount of individual charity work. Since when have you heard of what charity work A1 or any other boyband have done? Brian is involved in a healthy heart charity, because of his much publicised heart problems. AJ is involved in the Just Within Reach programme, which helps fund musical instruments for schools. Howie set up a Lupus Foundation becuase he lost his sister to the disease. Nick and Kevin are involved in environmental charities to do with the amongst other things the ocean. Ok , I am a Backstreet boys fan throuhg and through ... and when Nsync came out I thought they were ok .. No where near as experienced or as good as the backstreet boys , but none the less I liked their songs , and I liked their image too - I thought they were a bit annoying for kinda following in the backstreet boys steps but I guess they should be flattered that someone thought they were good enugh to start a whole new boy band craze based on their sound nd image ! What annoyed me , was when Nsync finally left BMG , and signed themselves to the Backstreets label , Jive ...
