 ... opening, title track is one which really moves me - try listening to it on headphones when the backing vocals/keyboards come in! Ben uses simple yet effective progressions and it works very well. The album might be considered depressing by some and shoved into a box with Radiohead and the like, but with happier songs like "Healer" and "Sunday" he shows that he is indeed flexible. Not many people seem to have even heard of Ben Christophers, and personally I think this is a good thing. In a way, Ben is currently a bit like Jeff Buckley was - amazingly talented and not particularly underrated yet with not a particularly large fanbase. My guess is that, like Jeff, he will get more fans over time, something which he richly deserves. Ben Christophers' music is not easy to put into any genre, and indeed his first two albums differ from each other at times quite considerably.
