I'll be honest from the start...I don't like Billie's music. 'Because we want to' grates on me and the only semi-decent song of hers is 'Day and Night'.(It's the only one I can listen to without cringing).

However, number one singles at the age of 15, being booed and hissed at by 5ive fans because of her romance with Ritchie and a death threat from a loony she encountered on a pop show has obviously taken it's toll.

She has been widely critisised for her marriage to Chris Evans by all and sundry, and yes, I agree it is a very strange match, although perhaps she is clinging to the only stability she has had for years.

Let's face it, she has spent the past three years touring far-flung places with little company of her own age and the years she has 'missed out on' are some of the most formative for any young person.

Has she taken drugs? did she indulge in under-age drinking binges? Who knows if these were the cause of her several high-profile collapses whilst out and about but if she has then she would be no different from many other teenagers today. i am not for one minute condoning that sort of behaviour but few teenagers have to make their mistakes in full view of the press.

As I have said I dont like her music, but no-one deserves the stick she gets from all quarters about various aspects of her life.
Give her spcae, give her time to grow-up....perhaps her marriage wont last, perhaps her career will never recover but perhaps qwith a little bit of a break from constant media scrutiny she might at least find herself happy and mature enough to handle whatever cruel things the world has to throw at her!
