Advantages: An umbelivable band that has produced many platinum albums as a result.

Disadvantages: They did break up in 2005. (But are getting back together now).

Blink 182 have been one of my favourite bands for a very long time now and I have always felt very inspired by their music.

Blink 182 are an American punk rock band and they were orignally formed by three members in 1992. These three members were Tom DeLonge (the vocalist and guitarist), Mark Hoppus (vocalist and basist) and Travis Barker (drummer). The band had a life of between 1992 to 2005 when a greatest hit album was released showing their break up due to changes in lifestyle and interests due to children etc. There has however, been new news released that has suggested that the band will once again continue which I was very happy to hear being a big fan.

Blink 182 have released some exceptioal albums in the past, the first was Buddha which was released in 1992. Cheshire Cat and then Dude ranch then followed and this really set the scene for the band. Blink 182 have a distinctive sound that is very punk rock in style. I really have never heard a band whose music is so energetic and fully of vibrance. Within the songs there have been some umbelivable guitar riffs created and some truly excellent drumming patterns by Travis Barker, for example in the song 'Down' the drumming is incredible. Many of the albums have reached platinum many times now which just shows how popular their music is by all.

The album "Enema of the state" was their most successful reaching 15 million copies worldwide which is very impressive. I really would recommend this band especially if you are into this genre of music. I would recommend buying the greatest hits album so that you can get a real taste for the band and develop your thoughts and opinions from there. Blink 182 really are a remarkable band and so lets hope they can produce more magic with their regenaration. I hope this was useful and thank you very much for reading!
