Advantages: Write Their Songs, Sing Live, Not Too Worried About Image

Disadvantages: Surely None!

The excellent thing about boy and girls bands are how talented they are.

I love the fact that groups like Five, Backstreet Boys, Steps, Cartoons and Boyzone are so good at writing their own songs. For example, the song 'life is a rollercoaster' is so profound in it's lyrical content - who could fail to be moved? Ronan Keating really did well writing that song.

Another excellent thing about these band are the way they sing live every show. They never mime, and their voices are never enhanced by clever computer editing techinics.

The music that they sing live to is brilliant also, speacilly since they compose it themselves. So many of these groups today play their own instruments and have a real clue about how music is put together - that's really good.

Don't you love how the people in these groups aren't too bothered about image? I rarely see a group that consists of only young and attractive people. Also, they never seem to wear similar clothes and show off their bodies.


Boy/girl bands represent the height of musical talent that exsists today, and their place in the charts are truly worthy. It's not like other quailty bands go un-noticed. The songs these acts write and perform live will all be remembered as classics, and the lyrics they write for them are very deep and powerful.

The best thing? Every boy/girl band song sounds very different from the others.
