Advantages: wonderful songs, wonderful artists

Disadvantages: leaves you wanting more

I just purchased this recently released Burt Bucharach cd and I must say that it is wonderful. I knew that he had written some wonderful songs but listening to the 2 cd's in this album I was surprised by how many of the songs that I know and love that he had written.

I freely admit to liking what is often known as soppy music but I defy anyone not to find at least one song on this double album that they like or even one they don't know the lyric's to . It has "classic's" like They long to be close to you (carpenters) I say a little prayer (Aretha Franklin and raindrops keeps falling on my head (B J Thomas) - not a personal favourite I must say ...

The album is also quite versatile as it offers more than one style of music there is the slow soft love songs and then there is the more sha la la songs and finally more jazzy styles hard to imagine any of the current song writers coming up with a repertoires as versatile and well known as this is.

Personally I think a must in any good cd collection.
