Advantages: Is back from our childhood days to provide us with even more Happy-go lucky, Cheesy music!
Disadvantages: With her close links to Jason Donavan and Robbie Williams she is VERY EASY TO ENVY!
About two weeks ago my mate thought I was mad for buying Kylies's album "Enjoy Yourself" in a little music shop in Hull for only 50p! YES 50 pence - I obviously took full advantage of this bargain and played it with my mate for a laugh as soon as we got home....... but as soon as she heard songs such as "Hand on Your Heart"...."Never Too Late"...and "Tears on My Pillow" we were BOTH dancing all over the house like little 8 year olds again! When us girls were little our Mums would ask us who do we want to be when we grow up? And many of us would have said - "Kylie!" Well who wouldnt? She had the perfect voice, the perfect figure, the perfect face, and had the perfect bloke in Neighbours - Scott! yes....JASON DONAVAN! -who almost every girl adored! Every girl was soooooo envious of her when she sung "Especially for You" with Jason Donavan and and ,yes, alathough her songs were somewhat cheesy, they were always played at the Primary School disco as we all bounced about to "The Locamotion" and "I Should Be So Lucky." So whats changed with her now???? Well she still has the perfect voice, the perfect figure, the perfect face - PLUS she makes even more girls jealous by singing with Robbie Williams! All she has done is come back and provide us 16-30 year olds with the same old cheese from our primary school days that we were used to - only now a bit more upmarket and modern. Yes she did have a dark period with "Confide in Me" (which I quite liked!) and a one off song with Nick Cage but us girls were starting to grow out of the whole "We Love Kylie" craze. But now the pint sized popstress is back with her cheesey pop music and amazing dress sense that we have so missed! This time instead of hearing it at the primary school disco its at home whilst we're getting tarted up for a night out on the tiles. Of course Kylie can still cut it - YOU GO GIRL
!!!! If you've got it flaunt it!!!!!!!!!!!

- 19/02/02 not much of what she used to be like ,not adressing the question of can she STILL cut it. |

- 15/02/01 I did actually buy the album in 1989 but its kicking about in my old room somewhere at my parents house. I love Kylie and think shes an excellent performer - the only reason people slate her is because they're jealous and would love to have her looks, image, voice and everything else about her! I mean Madonna's been in the industry for a long time and has had multiple changes in image so why cant Kylie??????? |

Mad? Of course you're mad - for buying it now, in 2001, rather than when it first came out in 1989 - you're 12 years too late!
I've followed Kylie's career from way back in 1987 and she still manages to be a tremendous singer and entertain now, almost fifteen years (and twenty top ten singles) later.
